Long Nguyen, PA-C

Long Nguyen, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in San Antonio and New Braunfels. He obtained his Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University in 2021 and immediately started practicing as a dermatology PA. Originally from Vietnam, he moved to the U.S. at the age of four and spent most of his life in Dallas, Texas. He obtained his Bachelor's in Chemistry at the University of Texas in Austin and a Master's in Chemistry from South Dakota State University. Before PA school, Long taught high school chemistry in Austin and Dallas. With his background in teaching, he emphasizes good patient education, strong communication, compassion, and empathy as his core values in practicing medicine. He has a strong affinity for dermatology due to personal experiences with skin conditions. He has experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology including, but not limited to, treatment of acne, auto-immune conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, skin exams, preventative care, skin surgeries, skin discoloration, complicated rashes, hair loss, Botox®, and many other cutaneous conditions. Long is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Associates, and the Bexar County Physician Assistant Society member. He is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. Outside the realm of medicine, Long finds joy in various activities. During his free time, he enjoys woodworking, pickle ball, outdoor adventures such as fishing, camping, and trail running. He also cherishes quality moments traveling, gardening, exploring new cuisines through cooking, and home projects with his wife, Chi.
